Deoxynivalenol (DON) FQ Test Kit Kullanım Kılavuzu

Deoxynivalenol, produced by Fusarium graminearum, is commonly found in corn (tassel rot), wheat, and barley (Fusarium head blight or scab). These toxins are already produced on the field in consequence of a contact of the cereals by fusarium species. Deoxynivalenol is a gastrointestinal irritant and an inhibitor in protein synthesis. Acute toxic dosages result in sickness. Farm animals react with a delay of growth and a depressed immune system resulting in a high sensitivity for infections. This kit represents a highly sensitive detection system and is particulary capable of the rapid quantification of deoxynivalenol contaminations in grains, feeds, cereals and beer.

The test kit is used for the quantitative detection of Deoxynivalenol (DON) in the samples such as grains and animal feeds. The kit is developed using a competitive fluorescence immunochromatography assay. After adding the sample solution to the sample well of the test card, the Deoxynivalenol in the solution binds to the fluorescent microsphere-labeled antibodies, thereby preventing these antibodies from binding to the Deoxynivalenol conjugate on the cellulose membrane. The quantitative test results are obtained through the fluorescence strip reader.

The reaction zone of the test cassette is pre-coated with a C-line and a T-line. After a specific antigen-antibody reaction, a compatible fluorescence immunoassay analyzer reads the fluorescence signal ratio of the T-line to the C-line. This ratio is inversely proportional to the concentration of the target substance (mycotoxin) in the sample. Nepenthe Fluorescence Reader features a built-in standard curve to automatically calculate and output precise quantitative results.
