Nepenthe Total RNA Extraction Kit is used to extract Total RNA from animal tissue, blood, cell culture and gram-negative bacteria. This kit is designed based on the silica column method. The amount of sample required in this kit varies depending on the tissue type and for example about 20-40 mg of tissue (20mg for liver or spleen tissue), 150μl of blood or at least 1~2 x 10⁶; cells and 3 to 5 ml of bacterial culture medium are required. In this method, the sample is lysed under conditions of phenolic buffer with high denaturing properties to protect the tissue RNA from degradation.

This kit allows simultaneous processing of multiple tissue samples in less than 30 minutes. This method completely eliminates contaminants and enzyme inhibitors and provides rapid, convenient and reliable isolation of RNA.
